INCREASE ON THE WASTE MANAGEMENT MARKET
Due to rising prices for fuels and energy, another problem that may affect the finances of households, local governments and entrepreneurs is price hikes on the waste management market that are knocking on the door.
Waste generation is an integral part of human activity. This phenomenon cannot be eliminated. It is only possible to reduce their negative impact on human life and health, as well as the nuisance for the environment, through proper waste management.
CLASSIFICATION OF WASTE MANAGEMENT PROCESSES
In order to organize the waste management processes, there is a classification of waste source used (20 groups of waste divided into subgroups and types) and the place of their generation (municipal and industrial waste).
According to data published by the Central Statistical Office, approximately 127 million tons of waste are produced annually in Poland. Industrial waste accounts for nearly 90% of this mass.
It seems that along with economic growth, the amount of waste produced by the industry should increase over the years. Increased awareness of entrepreneurs, economic issues and, undoubtedly, waste management regulations in the European Union – have a real impact on preventing such a trend.
