HOW TO REDUCE COSTS OF ENERGY?

The winter is coming. Electricity, coal and natural gas prices are far from the last year’s. Anyone who has not had enough time or does not have sufficient funds for: thermal modernization, replacement of a heat source with a more efficient unit, or installation of a photovoltaic installation will have to take into account increasingly higher energy bills. An option to reduce the severe effects of dramatic increase in energy prices is to optimize the energy consumption in building .

LOWER THE TEMPERATURE IN THE BUILDING!

This is a very simple way to reduce your energy costs. When reducing the energy consumption – the real benefits will come from verifying indoor air temperature and lowering it in areas where it is possible. Various estimations show that lowering the set temperature in a building by 1 ° C, reduces energy consumption by ~5–8%. Such a procedure has measurable environmental benefit as well as.

To sum upevery Celsius degree decreased in Polish buildings means an annual reduction in carbon dioxide emissions by 1,000,000 tons and a reduction in carbon consumption by 450,000 tons *.

Lowering the air temperature in the heated area from the average level of 22 ° C to the calculation value of 20 ° C recommended by the legislator ** will multiply these benefits.

This year’s recommendations of the European Commission for the Member States refer to lowering the temperature during the heating season to 19 ° C.

Due to thermal comfort and economic reasons – the most effective form of temperature control will be control in each particular room.
